Role and Responsibilities

Duties: Conduct complex engineering, analytical, functional and mathematical simulation analysis for the design, development and operational performance of radio frequency (RF) and communications components, products and systems. Review, analyze, and understand AT&T device requirements and articulate back to R&D. Communicate with customers to gather technical requirements for mobile device hardware, software and application development. Lead interface for all AT&T interactions, coordinate and drive customer meetings, communications and reports with both AT&T and internal teams. Participate in planning and resolution meetings to resolve technical issues and meet customer needs. Keep abreast of new and emerging technologies through attendance and participation at conferences and by reading technical journals, publications and online technical resources. Apply new technical information to analyze and develop current and future products. Work with Quality Assurance/Testing teams to resolve identified issues related to carrier requirements. Provide technical guidance and demos to carriers’ application vendors to help them integrate with Samsung’s flagship features, such as Bixby, and Samsung Pay. Generate problem reports, resolve complex integration issues, and coordinate solutions for customers by delivering integrated and tested software for 5G/LTE smartphones.

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements: Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, or related field and 2 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in wireless/network technology. Will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in wireless/network technology, or any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience. Experience must include:

  1. Two years of experience reading, writing, interpreting, and providing critical review of technical requirement documents, engineering test manuals, standards and specifications, customer applications and related documents.
  2. Two years of experience in wireless network system architecture, wireless mobile platform/ecosystem, enterprise mobile solutions, cloud computing, FOTA, network protocols, VoLTE, SMS, MMS, IOT, HDMI, and power management.
  3. Two years of experience delivering integrated and tested software for CDMA/LTE mobile handsets.
  4. Two years of experience in wireless carrier based testing for US operator requirements and mobile devices.
  5. Two years of experience in LTE, CDMA, EVDO, UMTS, and GSM in wireless network systems.
  6. Two years of experience working with VoLTE handset features and applications including SMS, Multimedia, data, and MIP.
  7. Two years of experience performing embedded and UI software tests on mobile handsets.
