We are seeking an innovative, intellectually curious, results-oriented technology leader who will be responsible for driving our product roadmap, software development, and operations of our systems. In this position, you will guide the efforts of developers across multiple locations as we build the next generation of Amazon last mile delivery.

The ideal candidate will attract, retain, and develop the highest quality talent. You will provide strong technical guidance to ensure the right technology and architecture decisions are being made, provide continuous product innovation to delight customers, and be comfortable in highly regulated environments.

Export Controls License

This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, EE, Aeronautics, Robotics or related field
  • 5+ Years of leading software teams
  • Experience with real-time and embedded systems.
  • Experience leading software teams in an agile, rapidly-changing environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience building complex software/hardware mission-critical systems that have been successfully delivered to customers at scale
  • Knowledge of engineering practices & patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification and live-site operations
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch and SLA-driven operations of the project
  • Experience in communicating with customers, technical, regulatory, business teams and management to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs
