Senior Software Development Engineer

THE ROLE:

• He/She should be part of Multi-Media Audio SW team.
• He/She should closely work with Device Drivers & DSP Firmware/Algorithms & SoC/IP teams to develop and deliver drivers for different audio interfaces.
• He/Should also very closely work with Domain/SW Architects to lead the design and development of key audio features.

THE PERSON:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to Work with global teams/customers
• Well versed with the product Agile/Waterfall development strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design & Develop DSP Firmware as per the AMD SW Roadmap commitments.
• Should be responsible for design and develop key features like HDA, SoundWire, I2S, BT & USB Audio Playback/capture features.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 6-8 years of work experience
• Extreme proficiency with C & Assembly language
• DSP Firmware Programming experience mandatory
• Microcontroller programming & low-level debugging mandatory.
• RTOS, IPC, Embedded, FPGA & Concepts with Multicore DSP.
• Memory/Clock performance optimizations
• Audio Codec programming (e.g., MP3 etc.) & FPGA/Pre-Silicon validation is a plus.
• Excellent Debugging skills at Assembly, C and System level
• Windows Device Drivers experience is a plus.
• Xtensa/cadence DSP architecture and tools knowledge is a plus.
• Audio domain/Framework knowledge is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• B.Tech(ECE/CSC) or M.Tech (Embedded/Digital Signal Processing) or equivalent.
