As a Senior Manager in the Non-Volatile Engineering Group (NVEG) Product Engineering organization at Micron Technology, Inc., For the development and ramp of next–generation Micron SSD/Embedded NAND/ Component NAND products by leading a brilliant team of engineers to solve sophisticated problems. Enabling these products with seamless and issue-free release to both internal and external non-volatile customers. You will be responsible to lead and develop your team of Product Managers and Engineers by mentor, establishing goals, providing career development, and conducting performance appraisals. You will also define training requirements for new engineers, deliver instruction, and assist with data analysis and project management as needed.

You will be responsible to enable both New Product Introduction (NPI) and High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM). In this role, you will lead an effort to set up the infrastructure and function with the goal to accelerate SSD/Embedded NAND/Component NAND development learning cycles to achieve outstanding cycle time from prototype builds to qualified system. You will drive your team to build and maintain product documentation, ensuring your team has the vital resources available to meet project deadlines. Additionally, you will work with various Engineering, Development and Manufacturing groups to prioritize work and ensure vital actions are taken to meet specific product requirements. Responsibilities:

  • Drive Embedded NAND/Component NAND development to enable world class products.
  • Developing, evaluating and optimizing new NAND-based system architectures that improve cost, performance, power and reliability of mobile and SSD product portfolios compared to today’s state of the art.
  • Set up infrastructure and capability for NVME, PCIE and SATA based SSD; and, eMMC and UFS based Embedded NAND Mobile and Automotive products.
  • Set up debug and analytical tools and drive failure analysis efforts from drive level to NAND level to provide feedback to related teams.
  • Manage external communication with business partners to ensure close alignment on all group objectives and tactical activities.
  • Work with all relevant business partners to meet product qualification dates and reach benchmark yields and quality.
  • Set performance management guidelines for your managers and engineers to follow.
  • Routinely provide mentorship on career development in your team.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals of your team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • 12+ years related experience, with applicable leadership experience in product engineering, product test or test engineering domain. Meaningful experience on NVME–, PCIE– and UFS–based Embedded NAND will be an advantage.
  • Management experience leading a distributed team
  • Effective communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Good multitasking and interpersonal skills, able to make decisions in sophisticated situations
  • Ability to delegate tasks and set priorities in a team environment
  • Experience working in a sophisticated technology company
  • Understanding of all classes of 3D NAND component and system products
  • Significant experience with sophisticated 3D NAND flash and non-volatile storage
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • Strong presentation skills
