Job Description

Toradex AG is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to provide overall sales leadership in our Europe region and ensure alignment with our global sales and marketing strategy. Your goal is to provide sustainable and profitable growth in your region according to the company’s business plan.

You will primarily act as Technical Sales Engineer to provide the interface towards our key customers and support them in the process of transforming their ideas into successful products. In this role, you will be the be the voice and partner of our customers. Strong technical and excellent communication skills are required to showcase the superior value of Toradex solutions

The Regional Sales Manager reports to the Global Head of Sales or Group CEO while leading the regional sales and technical support teams.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Overall accountability for the execution of Toradex global sales strategy in your region
  • Provide sales leadership and strategic direction to regional branch offices and its sales teams
  • Systematically drive the overall sales process from identifying leads, presenting solutions and to the successful commissioning of our projects and support services
  • In conjunction with the Global VP of Sales and/or Group CEO, establish the sales channels to market by defining and executing the distribution strategy at regional and country level
  • Track opportunities, capture customer requirements and project progress in your region
  • Maintain personal relations to regional Key Accounts as well as significant customers across in target industries and markets
  • Visit customers and showcase the superior values of Toradex’ s products, and provide pre-sales support together with the technical sales team
  • Ensure feedback loop to management: Provide structured customer feedback on new and existing products in target markets to product management and executives
  • Execute sales budgets according to agreed regional strategy and priorities
  • Assist in planning and coordinating regional marketing activities incl. trade shows according to global strategy and budget
  • Facilitate regular sales training to further grow sales employees’ skills set, commercial awareness and product knowledge
  • Manage the regional sales teams by recruiting, hiring, and mentoring talent as need

Desired Candidate Profile

Sales Skills

  • Passionate about latest technology in embedded computing and assisting customers in implementing their product ideas
  • Strong focus on consultative selling: Creating value and trust with prospects and exploring their needs prior to proposing suitable solutions
  • Proven ability to work with customers at all levels, from engineering to management and executive
  • Understanding and identifying missing or ambiguous requirements, and helping to minimize or eliminate such risks
  • Strong proactive communication and problem-solving skills
  • High-integrity and self-driven team player
  • Fluent German (C1) and English (B2) language skills in reading / writing / speaking / presenting


Technical Skills

  • Experience with Arm computer system architecture
  • Broad experience with requirements analysis & system-level design
  • Familiarity with industrial interfaces such as I2C/SPI/UART/CAN/USB/SDIO/Ethernet/etc.
  • Comprehension of computer hardware fundamentals and component datasheets
  • Experience with embedded operating systems such as Embedded Linux, QNX or other OS
  • Ability to provide technical product demonstrations
