The Business Line Radio Frequency Processing is enabling the car to sense its environment for advanced driver assistance toward autonomous driving, enabling zero road fatalities, and  deliver state of the art automotive infotainment solutions, providing a chain from the antenna to the speakers.

Your Responsibilities

NXP develops SW defined Radios (SDR) and has a dominant position in the Automotive market. The Radio solutions provided enable the car to receive analog (AM/FM) and digital (DAB+,HD,DRM,CDR) broadcasts across the globe. To enable easier customer design-ins we are increasing our firmware (FW) stack capabilities, delivered in combination with the IC products. To showcase the features and benefits of the FW offered we need solid reliable system application SW and GUI’s on dedicated operating platforms. This assignment is challenging, educational and fun to work on. It will give exposure to advanced SW & FW development, working with RF electronics, getting close to the customer front lines, and testing complete system solutions both in the lab but also on the road. You will be working alongside HW and SW engineers and architects inside the development and support team. This project is suitable for both Thesis and Non-Thesis assignments.

Who we are

We are a team of 25 system application engineers located in Nijmegen. You would be cooperating closely with Radio customer support and development team members.

Your Profile

  • Master/bachelor student in embedded SW Engineering or related field
  • Embedded SW development experience
  • Affinity with complex HW/SW designs and electronics
  • Java and/or C/C++ experience
  • Android OS experience
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and flows
  • Good communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
  • Pro-active, high energy, open-minded, eagerness to learn

Duration

Fulltime (40 hours per week) for a duration of a minimum of six months.

Please note that in order to be considered for an internship/working student, you need to be registered as a student during the entire period.
