As the Torizon Platform Team Lead, you will guide & facilitate the development team that builds & maintains the Torizon cloud platform, an IoT SaaS cloud offering. You will fulfill the team’s Product Owner role by defining, prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog. You will be challenged with driving an innovative & ambitious IoT vision with a distributed multi-disciplinary team of developers. And your team will empower Toradex customers to deliver increasingly advanced products in rigorous high-tech industries. The team works with a variety of software, DevOps & cloud technology including Kubernetes, AWS, GitlabCI, Go, Python & Javascript, to name a few.  The Torizon Platform includes (but is not limited to):

Software Developer Tools

• Native & Web-based Tools

Cloud Services

• OTA Updates
• Fleet Management
• Security Services

Interfaces to:

• TorizonCore & related tooling/services
• Cloud & DevOps infrastructure
• 3rd-party cloud services & tools

In this role, you will report to the Product Development Group Lead and provide product guidance to a team of 4-8 developers. You will interface with product management, other team leads & the CTO. Additionally, you will interface with customers to understand their needs and feedback.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the leader of the team, you will provide technical leadership, advocate for customer needs, champion the product vision and empower the team to succeed. You will ensure the needs of various stakeholders are met and provide technical direction to facilitate the team’s development. Additionally, you will:

• Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap
• Define epics & user stories
• Refine & prioritize the product backlog
• Work closely with developers as part of the team
• Champion product objectives & key results, including:
  • • Product quality
    • Feature development
    • Aligning & evolving technology & architecture
    • Automation & reproducibility
    • Supportability & maintainability
• Work collaboratively with other stakeholders to plan product, service and feature releases
• Generate clear and concise technical product documentation

Desired Skills & Experience

• Engineering complex hardware & software products in IoT, cloud and/or related fields
• Developing containerized microservices
• Expertise with Kubernetes & related orchestration technology for cloud or hybrid cloud deployments
• Scrum product owner experience
• Working with distributed development teams using Agile & DevOps methodologies
• Problem/needs analysis, requirements analysis & system design
• Software configuration management tools like Git and related concepts (e.g. branching, tagging and merging)
• Excellent communication skills – fluent English language skills in reading / writing / speaking / presentations
